Meet Kiley Anderson, Co-Founder of Jetson Probiotics

I’m Kiley, co-founder of Jetson. Today we launch our children’s probiotics: Jettie, the only seasonal probiotic for babies (ages 0-2) and kids (ages 2-13)

When Stefan and I co-founded Jetson in June 2019, we set out on a mission to help Americans balance their gut in order to improve their overall health. As a mother of two little boys, it has been my goal to extend our seasonal probiotics to babies and kids. Jettie helps children achieve a balanced microbiome – filled with diverse, clinically validated bacteria – and gives parents peace of mind

Our team has worked hard to develop an incredible product that parents can feel good about giving to their kids. I know firsthand how hard it is to earn the trust of parents, so I want to share a little bit about myself and why we created Jettie.

Back in 2015, probiotics weren’t on my radar. I took them infrequently, usually as a way to avoid yeast infections when taking antibiotics. But when it came time to transition my first son from breastmilk to formula, I noticed an immediate change in his digestion and mood. He was unhappy, irregular, and constipated. He was a big baby, with an appetite that I couldn’t keep up with, so formula was a necessity for us.

Concerned about my baby’s stomach issues, I asked my pediatrician for advice. She recommended I pick up a probiotic at the drugstore, “any one was fine.” This didn’t sit right with me. What made a good probiotic? What was the best product?

After sifting through an overwhelming amount of information – the last thing any new mom wants or has time to do – I realized that there wasn’t a ‘best option.’ Diving deeper, I realized that his c-section birth put his gut health at a disadvantage. Turns out, the vaginal canal is filled with tons of precious bacteria that helps build the foundation for a healthy gut.

I needed a product that covered all the bases: clinically proven strains, was easy for kids to take, and was an option pediatricians actually recommended.

Tiny guts deserve the best, right?

Keeping the family moving

Like Jetson, Jettie is seasonal. Why? Because research shows that our bodies need strain diversity. But if seasonal is so important, why are we the only ones doing it? Because creating a seasonal probiotic is pretty damn hard. We decided to take on the challenge, to keep things easy for you.

Here’s the scoop: Jettie rotates its strains twice a year, for spring/summer and fall/winter, so your kids are ready to handle what the seasons throw at them. They’re packed with quality, tested and validated strains so your kids are getting what they need, when they need it. When your kid is sick, your world comes to a screeching halt. We’ve been there. Knowing that 70% of our immune system lives in the gut makes giving them probiotics a no brainer.

Keeping my kids healthy is my top priority. Through a probiotic routine and a diet rich in greens the odds are stacked in my favor. And on most days, when getting my kids to even look at a vegetable is a battle I can’t fight, I know that we’ve got our bases covered with Jettie. The powders are completely flavorless, so you won’t have an issue sneaking it into their morning milk. We even designed the baby packaging to have friendly monsters on it (good bacteria) to make Jettie feel like a treat.

Feel good, in more ways than one

Parenting is hard. We’re always filled with questions—no matter how big or small. We always want the best for our kids.

When you sign up for a Jettie monthly subscription, you can be rest assured that the best probiotics and prebiotics are going to be delivered to your front door. While you’ll have Jettie to thank for your child’s blossoming gut health—you can pat yourself on the back for all the rest.
